‘Looking’ for Love (Episode 5)

Last week’s episode of HBO’s ‘Looking’ was the perfect culmination of the past four episodes. The momentum was built up over time but episode 5 really sealed the deal. I don’t think you’d appreciate the greatness that was entitled “Looking for the Future” if you haven’t seen the previous episodes. But nonetheless it will be entertaining and might encourage you to start from episode 1.

Vikings: A really good show you’re not watching but should be

With all the winter premieres on their third and fourth episodes, I’ve been on a bit of a writing hiatus, but now the second wave of 2014 premieres are cranking up and I’ve been watching TV for three days straight. This morning, I sat in front of my television for a straight, four-hour stretch sneak-peeking at season two of History channel’s Vikings, and it I am reminded why I was unabashedly in love with this show last...

The Following – Family Affair S2E4

Okay, show of hands – who saw this coming? By “this”, I mean Lily’s extended family, and Lily’s ability to speak to them in their native languages. Not just French, but Russian, too. ‘Shameless’ Cocaine & Two Appletini’s

o “There’s the Rub” ended almost 24 hours ago and I still haven’t processed everything that happened. I should have expected this episode. I have been a loyal viewer since season 1 and I should have known this was going to happen. All the signs were there. Around this time every season, Shameless kicks it up to the next notch. The first four episodes lay the groundwork, the fifth episode drops the bomb, and every episode thereafter...

Shameless Character of the Week: Debbie Gallagher

If you had told me 3 seasons ago that little, child-abducting Debbie Gallagher would not only have her own continuing storyline, but would also be the Shameless Character of the Week, I would never have believed you. Not our Debbie, no way, just wouldn’t happen. She’s too good for the likes of such shamelessness. Well, looks like the jokes on me because she’s doing both, brilliantly. Little by little Debbie’s world...

The Following – Trust Me S2 Ep 3

Well, well, well. They threw us a few twisty turns, didn’t they? It doesn’t surprise me that Mendez got a court order to track Ryan, or monitor his online activity. I was a bit surprised that she simply let him go, though. Ryan looked like he was expecting her to ask him for more information. Frankly, I was too. Giselle tends to Luke’s “official Ryan Hardy gunshot wound” while Mark continues reading “The Havenport Tragedy”. How...
