Bio: Cara Salimando is a 20 year old singer/songwriter and cat lover from Manhattan. She’s opened for many musicians including: Ingrid Michaelson, Mat Kearney, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Marc Cohn, Martin Sexton, Anthony Green (of Circa Survive), 100 Monkeys and William Beckett. This year, Cara decided to try something new. Every month she collaborates with a new artist or producer and releases a two song EP and a music video!
Why she is the artist of the week: HRC was fortunate enough to see Cara perform with William in Tennessee and now we cannot get enough of her! When we first saw her in concert, the first thing that came into our heads was “why have we not heard of her before?” She has a strong, powerful voice and quirky personality that can make everyone in the room instantly fall in love with her.

Hillary and Rachel (the creators of HRC) have been best friends for over five years, but what truly seems like forever. They first bonded over their love for the same music and TV shows. To this day they have been to over 100 concerts. Together they have also watched countless TV shows from start to finish Hillary has a passion for reality TV, while Rachel tends to enjoy scripted dramas. Rachel also has a love for fantasy novels and continues to try and convince Hillary to read them as well! So far no such luck ;)
